VINCENT: At the time I was told, it seemed reasonable. MIA: You heard Marsellus threw Rocky Horror out of a four-story window because he massaged my feet? She seems surprised to hear what people think she denies everything. Vincent gets up the nerve to ask her about the foot massage/ defenestration incident. Well in that case, will you roll me one, cowboy? At the restaurant, she provocatively sucks on her milkshake and stares into Vincent's eyes. Vincent's there to make her happy, and what makes her happy is agreeing to take her to her favorite '50s-retro burger joint. We see Mia watching Vincent on the security cameras and get a close-up of her red lips as she purrs to him on the intercom mike. Sample lyric: "Bein' good isn't always easy / no matter how hard I try." Come inside and make yourself a drink." "Son of a Preacher Man" is playing on the stereo. He arrives at Marsellus' house to find this note: "Hi, Vincent. Mia is gorgeous and sexy and seductive and funny and…a coke addict.ĭid we mention seductive? She's coming on to Vincent from the get-go. The outfit exudes confidence and strength, both of which she's got plenty of. As Marcellus' wife, she is powerful.Īs one critic put it, "She's the most powerful woman in a male-dominated world-she can get a terrifying assassin to dance the twist at her command" ( source). We'd call it a power outfit, you know? It's not unlike the suits that Jules and Vincent wear, telling us that Mia can stand up to the toughest of them. She's wearing a long white shirt and black cropped pants-no frills, no colors (except those bright red lips).
Say Yes to the…Suitįrom the moment we see her, Mia's clothes speak wonders. Vincent needs to get high on heroin in order to go through with it. She's the most dangerous character in the movie. So when Jules, and later the bartender, learn that Vincent has to "take her out" and "show her a good time," they think it's hilarious. We know she's the big man's new wife, a "don't touch" person if there ever was one. Which would have deprived us of this hilarious classic scene where Lance needs to find the little black book. Before we even see her, Mia Wallace is the most talked about character in the film. Or more realistically, Vince and Mia would have died from the impact of the car barreling into the bollards outside of Lance’s house. Which would most likely result in Vince being thrown out of a hotel room by Marsellus. If bollards had been installed outside of Lance’s house, it’s most likely that Mia would have died of a drug overdose on Vince’s watch. Let’s see what that might have looked like as Vince came crashing into the yard with an OD’ing Mia in the passenger seat. Residential bollards could protect his house. Which then means, he could have looked into ways to protect his house from vehicular attacks from the authorities, which would give himself time to escape from a raid. And he could have been paranoid about cops or other authorities raiding his home.
It’s possible Lance could have, at some point, gotten really high and paranoid.

However, it seems like Lance’s place was a house full of drugs and possesses the classic burnout style of living. Vincent’s thought process, “Quickly drive to burnout Lance’s house to save her with adrenaline!” He seems very trustworthy: And so is Vincent if Marsellus Wallace finds out about this especially if she dies. This is what happens when you snort heroin found in Vincent’s jacket. So back at the house, Mia digs around in Vince’s jacket and finds a nice heroin surprise.įuck yeah. We just have to trust that the Richard Nixon and Marilyn Monroe impersonators were the highest authority and dance experts to crown the winners. We really didn’t see any other dancers to be our own judge. They got first place in a contest in which there seemed to be no real competition. Which brought back the amazing Bat Dance (Batman Dance? Batusi?) performed by the brilliant John Travolta.Īnd then there’s the coked up version of the dance presented by Uma Thurman.Īlright.
You will surely remember the classic scene with Mia Wallace dancing with Vince at the Jack Rabbit Slim’s restaurant. Sentence fragments aside, let’s get into it. Just one key moment towards the beginning of the movie. Don’t want to get too much into the plot details. If you are reading this post, I am going to assume you have seen Pulp Fiction.
